I forgot how to write smut.

Hell, I can’t even write anything.

Especially smut.

I wanna write smut.

Is there a sex meme for writing?

Like, I know there’s some for drawing but… is there anything for writing?

I dunno, after that ruined friendship, I lost all will to write anything and I thought some memes would help me out, bit by bit.

Anyone got any good suggestions?

On reviewing stories…

conquerorwurm:

If you read a fic and you like it, please leave a review to let the author know. I see a lot of Portal fics from the kink meme and from FFnet being shared over Tumblr complete with rave reviews and enthusiastic appreciation, but the authors won’t ever see it if nobody puts forth the effort to give them actual reviews. It makes me so sad to see a fic that is apparently loved by many but has 2 or 3 reviews on FFnet.

It doesn’t matter if it updated yesterday or if it hasn’t in six months, it doesn’t matter if it already has reviews or it has none, it doesn’t matter if you have nothing more eloquent to say than “I loved it!”—if you like it, please tell them! I know it might be intimidating to try to think up a good response to something you really like, but even a simple “This is awesome!” will make the author’s day.

Writing can be a long, difficult, and extremely lonely process. Fanfic tends to get a lot less attention than fanart because it’s not as easy to write a review as it is to reblog a piece of art. It can discouraging at best, demoralizing at worst not to get any response from your writing, but it’s incredibly gratifying to hear that someone has appreciated and connected with your work. Every word of support counts so much more than you realize.

So take a little time and write reviews of the stories you enjoy. You never know, maybe your review will be the one to give them the boost of confidence they need to keep going!
