Cheer Up, Hana
Rochus could see there was something troubling her. He frowned to himself, his grip tightening slightly on his cane. Whoever had caused Alice’s sudden change of mood would suffer for it! Where was her slave?! He should be here taking care of her!
“Alice?” he asked, walking up to her, resting a hand on her shoulder. “What is the matter?”
“…Just feeling sad,” she said with a shrug of her shoulders, looking down at the ground.
“Where is your slave?”
“Alfons is busy working.”
“He should be here with you,” he said. He frowned as she shook her head, offering him a weak smile.
“He’s fine, daddy. I told him to go and help some of the other house slaves with the work.”
“…Can I do anything to cheer you up, child?”
“You already have.”
Rochus frowned, shaking his head in confusion. “I haven’t done anything for you, child.”
“You came up to me and asked what was wrong. You cared,” she corrected with a smile. Rochus blushed and Alice giggled softly, turning her head to kiss his cheek. “Thank you, daddy.”
